Bad to Worse

I suppose it makes sense I didn’t see this coming. It would be logical my brain would block out the natural next step, wouldn’t it?

My BOTOX injections have been cancelled.

I was due on August 22, so I’m about two weeks away. This means my migraines are slowly ramping up again. For me, this means my headaches that I usually have at the front of my head are slowly coming back. They are almost constant once they are fully ramped up, which they usually are by the time my appointment rolls around.

The person who called said they would reschedule once they had things sorted. But it would be after August, for certain. My back is at a state right now where I can barely move. My neck… It’s in bad shape. By evening I’m incoherent. I was hoping within the two weeks I would be able to touch base with him and at least ask him.

We still have no idea what is going on, however, husband dug around and found a couple of complaints at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. One is about him improperly examining a woman’s breasts, and another is about improper procedure. Both within 2015-2017. Now, this doctor is 74 (we figured it out). I have been his patient for eleven years. I am very sorry if he made someone uncomfortable, but I have trouble understanding the first charge. I do know what it is like to be in pain, however, and I have seen the looney-toons that walk into that clinic. I can understand a misunderstanding happening. I am completely certain she believes she was violated. There’s a reason I bring my husband along, however. He often sees things without the haze of pain and remembers things I don’t. Also: witnesses.

However, yes, often the staff would forget to have him or us sign consent forms until after the procedure, and that is bad. As head of the clinic, he needs to be responsible for that.

Now, I don’t know if this is why he is off, or the stress has gotten to him. But I understand the first complaint. If the second complaint caused a stoppage of business, I am enraged. Complaining about something like this to the College and denying thousands treatment, especially after losing another pain doctor recently (He murdered his wife, but still)

Not only that, but my pain doc prescribes a bunch of my meds that no other doc can prescribe.

Having said that, the office manager at the EDS clinic at General said we should hear within a month, and if not to call and find out what’s going on,

Husband will call and update her and my pot doc to advise them of the situation and let them know things may be changing going forward.

I am shopping my blues away. Thank goodness it’s cheap crap on Amazon. I will show you some of the cute stuff I acquire.

All we can do is wait and see. I may just give up and go to the hospital. I have enough medication to keep me semi-conscious and get me through. Actually, it’s not that bad. I make myself zone out so I can be in that hazy semi-sleep state. I am going to be much better at taking my medication on time.

I’m even going to work on vaping. I’ve stopped because it hurt, but I’m going to start again. It shouldn’t hurt after a while!

Ugh.

O-Vary Nice to See You!

giphy19

Today has already started out scarily awful. This was a long weekend in Canada. Our washing machine broke. It did only cost $250 to fix. I didn’t get my sheets changed. Our kids do theirs each week. I couldn’t move.

My two kids, who both have Autism, have been struggling with anxiety this past month. My daughter (15) has been sick off and on and struggled to make it to school other days, just the past two months. My husband has been walking her to school last week.

My son, 13 in 2 weeks, has struggled since February, maybe longer, so my husband walked him to school for two weeks, then met him at school for two weeks, and today was the day he was going to let our boy fly free!

Except the girl was struggling. So he was going to hang around the neighborhood, visiting various Starbucks until our children were ensconced in school.

Only the boy woke up still with that cold he had all long weekend. He’s missed so much school we have to send him unless he is actively vomiting or has a fever, the Principal will dismiss him.

My husband came to talk to me about the chaos when pain exploded in the right side of my abdomen. I began screaming. 30 seconds or a minute passed. The pain abated. The screaming turned into a moan. Husband continued his sentence as he crossed the room and grabbed my pill case. He handed my my breakthrough meds and said “ovarian cyst, take one every hour until you’re comfortable. Stop at 3. Vape when you need to. Rest.” He then popped the pill in my mouth as if he were offering me communion and held my water bottle to my lips. I lay back and waited for some pain relief.

Because the kids were not to know their dad was lurking in the neighborhood, he left at his usual time of 7:00. The kids continued on and I tried to keep comfortable. Around 7:30 I started to vape, as the kids were ready to go, they just needed to leave.

The boy finally left around 8:05, a bit late, but made his way to school.

The girl was supposed to leave at 8:20, but we hadn’t heard anything by 8:30, there’d been a problem. My daughter comes running up the stairs with the doorknob in her hand! The thing broke! We are actually in the process of replacing all our doors, too! She is in a panic because she can’t fix it, and she can’t just leave it, because she’s afraid I will get hurt. So I have to shine the dad-signal.

Dad comes running, of course. Daughter wasn’t happy, but he fixed the door. He walked her to school.

Does it end there? No…

My son is now home. They sent him home because of that cold, but he did get homework. My daughter is not able to stay at school, but she made it, so she’ll be back soon. I’m pretty sure she will be upset for not reaching her goals, so I am bracing for a day. But she could be fine.

I am two weeks away from my Botox treatment shots. The old ones are wearing off. I have excruciating back pain, my neck hurts, my head hurts, all my muscles hurt, I have abdominal menstrual-like cramps. I want a bath but I can’t move.

Two days after that I see my doctor again but we can talk about my head!

Have a fun day, fellow Zebras! 😘 I’m going to be relaxing.

My Wonderful Husband πŸ’™

giphy8

Things got a bit awkward? no, unfortunate last night. My darling husband and I started to snuggle, and we got about as far as Marge and Homer in the above .gif, only we were still wearing our matching pajamas (yes, every year at Christmas I buy the family matching pajamas. We are Canadian and it’s May, of course they’re on!) when suddenly I had the blinding head pain and nausea return. I was so upset. I’ve been in too much pain to be intimate for so long. Of course he understood, and just held me. He has to stop being attractive, too, though.

I was thinking if I should ask him if I could tell this story, I paused and I could almost hear him say “Why? It’s facts!” I started to cry. He’s so wonderful. Of course, just then my kids burst in with early Mother’s day gifts. They had a makeup brush I wanted and deodorant in a particular scent. They bought three sticks! My son informed me. Also, I stink. They wanted to know why I was crying, of course, so I told them it was because their dad was wonderful. They were fine with that. My husband rounded the corner shortly after and I had a chance to ask him if he would be embarrassed if I shared the story of last night. “Why, it’s facts?” He said.

Yesterday I just slept all day. I had stuff I wanted to do, but a two-hour nap turned into three, which became five… I think it was good. The pressure in my head was bad, and I needed to relax. My husband suggested I sleep in again today, but I thought if I did that I might not get up at all. When am I going to accept that he is always right? I did some makeup stuff, but the photos are awful. If I don’t feel good, the photos don’t turn out. Waste of time if I can’t show off. Or if I cringe looking at the photos.

Right now my head is throbbing and my jaw really hurts. I overdid things. My pubic bone hurts, too, likely from sitting up so long the past few days. I ache all over. I can’t remember much of any conversation. Watching TV is futile. I can only watch reruns of animated stuff I’ve seen a million times. I can’t follow other stuff. Law and Order was really bad. Archer is baffling to me. I keep calling him Bob. My husband watches sports beside me on his tablet. Or we watch together.

Ha! Husband just ran in, gave me a kiss and ran out again.

This head thing is really frustrating, but my husband really cheers me up. So glad he’s in my life. πŸ’™

For Mothers day (because my husband is such a terrible speller, we refer to it as Mothra’s day, and of course Fathead’s day. Although that may have come about as a autoreplace suggestion. πŸ€” My husband is a Fathead, yes he is! Full of knowledge!)

Anyway, I haven’t really been feeling well enough to do anything for my Mother, so in appreciation, Mom, if you are reading this, I will not take you to see Snatched this weekend, that atrocious looking movie with Goldie Hawn and Amy Schumer. My Mom works so hard looking after my Dad, she deserves major snaps, because she has her own challenges, yet she cares for him tirelessly. I’ve long felt it’s easier to be the patient than the carer. I know I would have bailed long ago.

I’m feeling really frustrated with this stupid head pressure affecting things so much. I didn’t even vape yesterday because inhaling was going to hurt too much. That’s not good. I’m frustrated it’s taking from the tiny amount of leisure I was afforded. I don’t want to have to give everything up. I’ve had to give up so many hobbies already.

I’m scared it will come down to choosing between functioning and being comfortable.

Have a great evening, Zebra pals! 😘

Nesting

giphy

I’m deep into Nesting mode today. My ex husband used to call me hamster girl, because I love organizing and reorganizing all the things. Whenever I’m “sitting still” you can usually soon hear the rustle of paper. Today I went through all of my makeup and reorganized it. It was already sort of organized, but I redid it. Tomorrow I will tackle skincare. Unfortunately, I tried a look after I did the organisation and when I took the photos, my eyes are wonky. My eye pulls in when I get tired, and it doesn’t take much these days. I’m seeing the eye doctor in a couple of weeks. It might even be next week. I’m going to have to show him these photos.

I had a great time watching South Park while doing this. I love this show. It’s so obnoxious. Β It makes such good points. My son’s friends watch it, so if he wants to watch it, I’m glad we do it together so we can discuss what he sees. I don’t know if, at almost 13 he quite grasps sarcasm and irony, and I’m happy he will discuss things with me enough to let me talk with him and ask me questions. I love the one where Kanye is making sure Kim isn’t a hobbit, and the one where Stan and Kyle try to beat a million on Guitar Hero. The music is great! Kansas, The Ramones, and I find it okay! Yay!

I’m still having abdominal cramping, but it’s more muscular than digestive, although digestive problems are happening because I’ve been on a chocolate binge lately. It doesn’t take much to upset my system, but it does take a certain amount to satisfy me! Oh well. Gotta live.

A friend asked me an interesting question the other day. I mentioned the cramps, and she misunderstood them for digestive cramps, understandably, and asked if I was going off FODMAP. No, because it was different pain and we sorted that, but I thought, what is after FODMAP? What do I do after that? I can’t seem to tolerate anything forbidden, and many things allowed on that diet and am still mostly nauseated and having heartburn. I am better in terms of bloating and gas, most of the time I know why I am suffering.

I was going to post yesterday, but I decided to nap instead. So selfish. 😁

My head and neck hurts so much. I’m trying to be cheerful, but it’s tough. I feel like my laughter is a little loud and hysterical.

I can vape again, right? I’ve been teaching people in the house how to help with my apparatus (age appropriately, no kids touch drugs, but they can find my discard bin and get my tubing) so I actually will instead of just lying here.

Have a fab day, Zebras! πŸ˜™

Weekend!

n6klxeqoh4zkc

Hey hey! It’s Saturday! I woke up with the back of my head banging so much I felt like it was going to fly off. I’ve got my coffee and my mmj, so we shall see about that.

I stayed curled up in a ball last night. My friend didn’t make it over. We had a pretty big snow storm. 10 cm of snow isn’t a lot, but when it falls all at once, it’s a problem on city streets. She’s going to drop by today, after her massage.

I didn’t make it to my virtual party last night. I decided to join Rodan + Fields as a consultant, but only to purchase my own stuff. They call those ‘face washers’ apparently. Β πŸ˜‚ This party was for those that were joining. I couldn’t uncurl myself enough.

I’m feeling a bit better today, not fantastic, but maybe moving will help. Going downstairs and seeing people.

Darling husband was super sweet today. He shops at Walmart every Saturday at 7:00 am, and there has been a sale on big fluffy pillows the past three weeks. He brought home one for everybody on week one and two, and two for me today, so I am just swimming in pillows. Unfortunately, he dumps things on me, so I am covered in things and can’t dig out. I will need his help later to make sense of all this. I don’t have the spoons, and my bed (our bed) looks like a bed from hoarders.

I need to find cheap tools for my mmj device. I keep losing them, and have to source more. Tried pipecleaners, not strong enough. This mmj is what is keeping me from certain death of spirit right now. It’s very high CBD, mid THC, so I can still function.

I have had the weirdest encounters with men the past few days. Normally, men are pretty respectful. I’m old, disabled, used to be pretty fat, and I’m still considered obese, but I’m about 5 lbs. away from being merely overweight! I chose a fairly man repellant icon for my Facebook photo, deliberately, not that I need to worry, yet I still had one guy in messenger saying he wanted to kiss my neck, another guy on my actual page saying he wanted to marry me! He claims he still wanted to marry me after I told him I needed a manservant to look after me, this bitch with pain, my personality does not make up for it, I wear nothing but onesies, and watch nothing but animated shows. Had to block someone on Facebook because he continually would judge my statuses, tell me I should be caring more about this or that. Just disrespectful. This one in particular was a petition on having Ivanka Trump’s Line dropped from a Canadian clothing store, which he didn’tΒ feel is fair, because “she didnt do anything”. Disagree with me, yes, but don’t talk to me like you are my father. Anyway, I didn’t want him coming back with arguments or whining, hence the block.

y5gvgqzcluuwq

What takes the cake is my Instagram interaction this week. I deliberately chose a photo for my daughter’s birthday this week that was not so flattering. I’m glad I did. One tag I used was Aspergers. This one guy contacted me. Normal. He started chatting about struggling with Aspergers. Fine. Then he asked me if my daughter finds farts funny. Blocked.

This must be my punishment for participating in that thread and saying I wasn’t getting that much harassment so I didn’t mind friending men on social media. What is wrong with them? Does this work on anyone? If so, whom?

My friends always tell me to take my photo off my profile, use something neutral. But just because someone is a jerk, I’m not going to change my whole life.

I really, really, really love my socially awkward husband.

My friend showed up much earlier than I expected. I thought she was having a massage at 12:30 so I budgeted an hour, and then travel time, so 2:00 at the earliest, but she was here at 1:30, and I didn’t have time to finish vaping, never mind getting dressed, or finishing my blog post. But she was great, came and hung out in my bedroom. She’s so swamped at work. It’s terrible. I wish I could see her more often! We had a good catch up. My sweet husband made chocolate chip cookies. Gluten-free of course. They are delicious.

I’m still sore, my abdomen hurts. I have cramps. It feels like a bad period, or maybe a cyst. I don’t know what’s going on, but it hurts. I shouldn’t be having problems as I’m on Mirena, Β so maybe it’s gastrointestinal. That makes more sense. I mean, my GI system has been bothering me since I was a toddler. I used to eat only every second or third day.

I should go do something productive, like check the weather, see if there are any storms brewing, find out how my week is going to be. Three seasons per year are tolerable here, really.

Have a stripey day, my zebras! 😘
